Diane has made a vast contribution to Reconomy’s recent growth, developing its Social Value Programme and Environmental Action Plan

She will now spearhead its sustainability strategy and deliver a new circularity model

Reconomy, the international circular economy specialist, is delighted to announce that Diane Crowe has been promoted to the role of Group Sustainability Director.

In this new role, Diane will be spearheading Reconomy’s sustainability strategy to ensure compliance with increasingly demanding mandatory and voluntary sustainability and ESG frameworks. She will also be leading on the crucial delivery of a circularity model for Reconomy to demonstrate its impact with customers and other stakeholders.

Diane joined Reconomy in July 2018 and has made an enormous contribution to its growth and development. She was responsible for creating and embedding the business’ sustainability strategy, including the Reconomy Social Value Programme (RSVP) and Reconomy Environmental Action Plan (REAP).

As Reconomy continued to expand and bring multiple acquisitions together across the world, Diane was able to incorporate their needs into its sustainability strategy while communicating targets effectively to the company’s 4,000 plus colleagues across more than 80 countries.

Most recently, Diane has overseen reductions in Reconomy’s carbon intensity in line with its net zero pathway, increased social and local economic value generation, developed consistent sustainability policies and improved Reconomy’s reporting practices. All of this has resulted in EcoVadis Gold status, Science Based Targets (SBTi) verification and ISO 14064 Carbon Reduce certification.

Guy Wakeley, Chief Executive at Reconomy, commented: “Diane is an exceptional sustainability professional who always represents Reconomy’s values whether working with colleagues, customers, external stakeholders or local communities.”

Diane Crowe, Group Sustainability Director at Reconomy, commented: “Over the past six years, I have seen Reconomy grow into a leading international circular specialist and deliver tangible change in sustainability for my colleagues, our customers and local communities. Reconomy is a truly innovative business, with inspiring professionals driving tangible improvements in sustainability across global economies.”
