Potter Space, a market-leading property company specialising in small to mid-box industrial and logistics space, opened the doors of their Droitwich park in Worcestershire, for a distinguished group of guests this Wednesday (August 7th) as part of the UK Warehousing Association's (UKWA) "Around the Warehouses in 80 Visits" campaign. The event highlighted the growing importance and innovation of the warehousing industry, as well as Potter Space's role as a premier business destination in the region.
The campaign is a national initiative launched by UKWA to mark the organisation's 80th anniversary in 2024. UKWA CEO Clare Bottle is visiting 80 warehouses across the UK to showcase this critical - yet often underappreciated - sector.
Joining Clare on the tour of Potter Space were Nigel Huddleston MP, Nicolas Wright of Elmley Lovett Parish Council and Shaun Riley, Head of Economic Development at Wychavon District Council.
Jason Rockett, Managing Director of Potter Space, said: "Potter Space is proud to host this important event as part of UKWA's 80th anniversary celebrations. Our thriving business park is home to a diverse range of innovative companies. We're excited to showcase the success of our existing customers and share our plans for future development."
During the tour, the guests visited several of Potter Space's existing tenants, including Volker Laser, Akzo Nobel/Carrs Coatings, Bowker Group, and Falcon Contract Flooring, to gain a better understanding of the varied businesses operating out of the park.
Clare Bottle, CEO of UKWA, said: "Warehousing remains one of the fastest growing industries in the UK, playing a vital role in our daily lives. Through this campaign, we aim to turn the spotlight onto the millions of people who work in warehousing and the incredible work they do.
“We're thrilled to be visiting Potter Space as part of this initiative, as it is a shining example of the innovation and dedication in the UK warehousing sector. Events like this help to raise the profile of the sector and showcase the innovation and diversity of businesses operating within it."
The tour concluded at Potter Space's newest units, which will provide an additional 55,000 sq. ft. of space when completed. The property business also unveiled its ongoing development plans, which aim to create more space and commerce in the region.
The business park provides high-quality commercial space suitable for various uses including warehousing, manufacturing, office amenities and open storage. The site is fully secure and managed to ensure customers are safe and supported in a well-maintained park. Located in the heart of the Midlands with superb access to the arterial road routes such as the M40 and M6 via the M5, the business park has easy access to Birmingham, Nottingham and the Worcestershire West Country corridor.
