The 100,000 sq. ft. national distribution facility, announced by Andrew Page Limited earlier this year, will be fully operational within the next few weeks supplying the company's core 65 national branch network. It will be a key element in support of the company's desire to become one of the UK's leading parts distributors. The distribution centre will also progressively service the newly acquired 30 Camberley Auto Factors branch network in the south of the UK.
The Andrew Page national distribution centre, based at the Markham Vale Business Centre in Derbyshire, has excellent communications links with the UK motorway network. The facility will have a dedicated logistics team that will grow in line with the company's expansion programme. A fleet of 26 ton Mercedes-Benz delivery trucks will operate out of the Markham Vale site delivering, on a daily basis, to the company's branch network.
The distribution centre is also a vital part of the company's strategy and commitment to provide customers with a greater variety of quality parts and other services, which is increasingly vital in such a competitive marketplace.
"This is a very exciting time for Andrew Page," said the company's Managing Director, Mark Roberts. "Establishing a major national distribution facility is an integral part of our growth strategy. As we grow our branch network it is vital to ensure that the flow of replacement parts and components is enhanced providing the service to customers that enables them to improve their profitability."
