Britvic, a British producer of soft drinks, has extended its contract with Wincanton, a supply chain partner for UK business, for 10 years in a deal that will take the partnership with the two businesses into its 40th year.
The 30-year partnership between the two organisations began in 1994 and, under the new contract extension Wincanton will continue to provide storage and distribution services for Britvic, which is home to brands including Robinsons, J2O and Tango, in the UK.
Over the next decade Britvic will benefit from Wincanton making a significant investment in automation to increase productivity, capacity, and capability at Britvic’s national distribution centre in Lutterworth, Leicestershire.
The extended contract will also see Wincanton continue to manage Britvic’s fully automated warehouse facility in Rugby, Warwickshire.
Together, the two sites despatch a combined 650,000 cases of Britvic products daily.
