Davidson Richards launches cloud-based OpSuite retail solution to offer large retailer functionality to small and mid-sized retailers

Davidson Richards, a leading developer of retail management systems, today launched OpSuite, a fully-fledged cloud-based retail solution into the EU market. Davidson Richards is Microsoft's leading European Retail Management Systems (RMS) development partner and the new system allows retailers to integrate fast-changing online retail and promotional services into their existing business, reducing operational costs while avoiding capital expenditure.

For the first time, retailers with one to 100+ outlets can manage their entire retail operations through a single web-based management application to obtain the benefits enjoyed by large retailer outlets at a fraction of the cost - a 10-site retailer solution with 10 tills across the estate costs from just over £1k month.

The OpSuite Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution connects to retailers' applications without the need to 'Rip out and Replace' existing solutions. Its state-of-the art architecture and technology, OpServices, enables it to connect all existing distribution, finance, e-commerce, ERP or other solutions. OpSuite offers the complete front to back office solution including POS, which updates all transactional information across multiple touch points to provide improved visibility in real-time and allows retailers to control the consistency of information.

"We are seeing a growing shift in the retail market as businesses move to offer their end users more choice of customer touch points. As they move to integrate an increasing mix of online retailing, catalogues, coupon promotions and loyalty schemes, they need to ensure consistent information and an identical customer experience across all their channels," commented Richard Goodley, Managing Director, Davidson Richards. "This increasing complexity makes it vital that they have complete visibility and management control of all their business and sales operations. OpSuite answers this requirement by allowing them to bring all the information together in real-time onto a single cloud-based platform."

"At a time when online retailing is still transforming every business sector, we've taken this opportunity to use our proven retail knowledge and technology skills to develop a cloud solution from the ground up, to offer retailers more flexibility in the way they do business. We believe this sets us apart from what's currently on the market, and we're excited to show retailers just how much they can achieve through the cloud," concluded Goodley.

OpSuite was co-developed by Davidson Richards in the UK in conjunction with US-based, POSitive Technology - the world's largest Microsoft RMS partner and developer. The two companies have been working together since 2006.
