Continental Industrial Tyres UK welcomes a new addition to the sales team with the arrival of Ian Burden. Ian will be the Industrial sales manager for the South region reporting into general sales manager Leon McMahon.
Ian is a qualified mechanical engineer and has worked in the Industrial materials handling industry for over 25 years. From the factory floor into service and aftersales through to sales, Ian has experience in many disciplines. He joins Continental from NACCO Materials Handling Group Ltd where he was Hyster territory manager.
Ian, 47, said; "Continental has a strong record in the industrial sector and a great product range covering all applications. I am looking forward to strengthening relationships with both tyre dealers and the wider customer base."
Leon McMahon, who heads up the Industrial business unit, said; "Ian brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to Continental. He is a great addition to our already strong sales team. We are launching some important new radial products and we are in an excellent position to take these to the market."
Married with 2 grown up children, Ian enjoys watching football and spending time with his family.
Previously, the role was held by John Saunders who has taken up a European Industrial sales role which reports directly into Continental's head office in Hanover, Germany.
