SMA Worldwide plc, a Kings Langley-based international logistics company, has taken its business to greater heights after joining Palletways, Europe's largest and fastest growing network for palletised distribution.
The company, which was founded by husband and wife team, Dr and Mrs Samir Attia in 2001, celebrated the announcement with a special balloon flight at its depot.
The deal will see SMA become one of over 100 member companies within the Palletways UK distribution network, enabling the firm to strengthen its offering to customers through a range of cost effective, express distribution services for palletised freight for UK, Europe and on an International level.
Dr Attia says the move to join Palletways represents a significant development within the company strategy for future growth.
He adds: "We wanted to mark this announcement by doing something special and a balloon flight seemed a fitting way to launch our Palletways membership.
"Being part of the largest network of its kind will enable us to continue to offer our customers cost-effective, overnight and express palletised freight services, as well as presenting us with an opportunity to attract new customers to SMA."
Palletways, which was set up in 1994, has 300 depots across the UK and mainland Europe and handles around 21,000 pallets a day through ten hub facilities across Europe. The company's distribution networks in the UK and mainland Europe are supported by an unrivalled and fully integrated IT infrastructure, allowing customers to track and trace consignments using the internet.
SMA World Wide plc is part of the SMA Group with offices in Cairo, Dubai and the Far East.
