JCB now offers the largest single range of dedicated machines for the rehandling requirements of the waste and recycling industry. It will show several of these models at CIWM Futuresource 2010 and highlight its unrivalled focus on tailor-made customer solutions, health and safety and dealer support.
On the JCB stand, the company will show three of its 30 Wastemaster models: a 436HT wheeled loading shovel, a JS160W wheeled excavator complete with hydraulically raised cab, and the extremely popular and unique Teletruk 35D.
To reflect the increasingly specialised requirements of customers operating within the industry, and based on feedback received directly from the marketplace, JCB has further developed and expanded its variety of machines equipped to cope with the rigours of work in the waste management environment.
Together with its dedicated Wastemaster machines, JCB offers its customers a comprehensive range of attachments, finance packages through JCB Finance, service contracts and aftermarket back up to their exact needs, whether they are working on a landfill site, MRF or civic amenity site. Along with every JCB machine comes the peace of mind of a dealer network spanning the UK in 45 locations, all offering sector specialists and world class customer support from factory trained engineers.
On show from the JCB wheeled loading shovel range is the JCB 436 HT Wastemaster which is ideal for loading into waste containers or high-sided bulkers.
Shown utilising a 5.5m³ Ulrich bucket for low density plastic waste, the model will also feature High Lift loader arms for maximum loader height and is easily capable of loading large bulkers. The cab's lower glass will be replaced with a metal panel for added durability. Further application specific options to be shown include 20.5 x 25 SG Revolution cushion tyres, additional harness protection, a P3 cab filter and raised brake and reverse lights to protect against damage.
The JS160W wheeled loading excavator will be shown with a hydraulically raised cab for greater operator visibility when loading into high-sided containers. Further to a range of general features to meet the arduous demands of the sector, the machine will be shown with additional available options including Hi-vis chevrons on the counterweight, a rigid all round hand rail, a dipper limiter, a rear view camera and additional work lights and access step all significantly enhancing the safety of the operator, the machine and other site personnel.
At Futuresource, the JS160W will be shown utilising anSG400 Selector Grab attachment - which enables the operator to select, handle and place a wide variety of waste materials more accurately to enhance operational efficiency.
The Teletruk 35D is a 3.5 tonne capacity forklift but with a unique telescopic boom design offering many more advantages than conventional FLT's. A single, slim-line boom results in excellent visibility for the operator with no interference of the mast reducing the risk of damage to machine or site. With a telescopic boom instead of a mast, the JCB Teletruk offers significant reach advantages, enabling the machine to load or unload trucks from one side or to reach second row loads. Fitment of a Quickhitch ensures maximum versatility, enabling compatible attachments such as buckets, grabs and fork rotators to be utilised. These strengths make the TLT35D a safe, indispensable and extremely popular materials handler for the recycling industry.
In addition to the standard, yet high specification Wastemaster package, the model on show will feature additional bespoke health and safety options including chevrons on the counterweight for onsite visibility, an in-cab temperature gauge, light guards and a side panel door vent.
The JCB Wastemaster range can be specified to meet the unique demands of the waste and recycling industry and can be specified exactly for all typical sector applications including: kerbside collection, MRF operations, civic amenity sites, waste transfer stations, Energy-from-Waste plants, ELV stations, WEEE recycling, demolition recycling, green waste and landfill sites.
The extensive line-up comprises JCB Wastemaster specification wheeled loading shovels, telescopic handlers, Telemasters, wheeled excavators, tracked excavators, telescopic forklifts, skid steer loaders, rough terrain forklifts, articulated dump trucks, tracked excavators and generators.
