Annual Awards for Excellence 2009
Anthony Hall (22), anemployee of global logistics provider Kuehne and Nagel, has
been named as the CILT (UK) Diploma Student of the Year 2008.
The CILT(UK) Student of the Year awards are awarded to a CILT(UK)
logistics student who has successfully completed their studies for the
'CILT(UK) Diploma in Logistics' between 1st July 2007 and 30th June
2008.
Joining Kuehne and Nagel four years ago on the company's Apprentice
Scheme, Anthony Hall completed both the CILT level 2, 3 and 5 studies
as part of his Apprenticeship. He currently works as Key Account Coordinator
for Kuehne and Nagel's Oil & Gas division and received his
Student of the Year award for the Level 5 Diploma at CILT's Annual
Awards for Excellence held in London on 22 October 2009.
It was commented in Anthony's nomination that he has impressed both
his managers and his colleagues by the way he has committed himself
to his studies at the same time as having a demanding role. Completing
the Diploma course has contributed to Anthony's growing maturity and
self-confidence; it has been apparent Anthony has been diligent in
applying the benefits of the programme to his daily work. His personal
growth will only serve to enhance his future career.
The programme assessor commented that Anthony is an excellent
example of a new entrant to logistics with a strong desire to learn.
