Logistics businesses have operated in a constant state of flux in recent years due to a series of disruptions to supply chains.

This is according to Logistics UK, which points to issues such as post-Brexit changes to international goods movement and uncertainty regarding industry’s decarbonisation journey.

And issues such as emerging technology and skills shortages means logistics firms have operated with uncertainty for years.

But the sector’s critical importance to the success of businesses in the UK means that its operations must be constantly adapted to ensure that companies are prepared for such events.

Logistics UK’s fourth annual one-day Supply Chain Resilience conference is an event for supply chain professionals of all levels to equip them with best practice, case studies and knowledge.

To be held at the America Square Conference Centre, London on Wednesday 19 March, Supply Chain Resilience 2025 will provide the opportunity to hear from high-profile speakers.

This includes Alan McKinnon of Kühne Logistics University, who will deliver the keynote address, and Laura Marquis, Director for Multimodal Freight at the Department for Transport, who will be participating in a panel session discussing government programmes to support improving resilience of UK supply chains.

The day’s programme will also include presentations and debate featuring leading organisations such as the UK Space Agency, Stobart, Amey, Wincanton, MAKE UK, Customs Support Group and John Lewis Partnership.

Logistics UK President Phil Roe, who will be chairing the day’s proceedings, said: “Supply chain resilience is of utmost concern to business leaders following the disruptions of recent times.

"It is vital to consider any potential threats to the continuity of operations and develop possible solutions to keep goods flowing.

"Our line-up of thought leaders in resilience will provide the vital insight needed to overcome these challenges and plan a successful business strategy.

"This is a must-attend event for anyone planning for the future success of their operation.”

Tickets for Logistics UK’s Supply Chain Resilience conference are now available, priced at £209 + VAT for members and £249 + VAT for non-members.

Places at the conference are strictly limited – further information, including the full programme, is available at: https://logistics.org.uk/events/currently-live/supply-chain-resilience-logistics-uk-business-conf.
