James Martyn-Smith, Construction Director at Graftongate, said: “Russell WBHO’s specialist skills and experience were instrumental in delivering this large-scale industrial development and meeting the BREEAM Excellent rating.
"The facility has also been built to a standard enabling future tenants to achieve the WELL and Fitwel certifications through their fitout.
“We’re pleased to see Trafford 150 be completed on time and to the highest specification offering businesses an impressive building with market-leading environmental credentials.
"Tenants will benefit from a very energy-efficient site and the opportunity to enhance occupants’ wellbeing.”
Jonathan Rhodes, Russell WBHO’s Project Director, added: “Delivered within 12 months, Trafford 150 adds to our extensive industrial portfolio.
“We carried out complex ground remediation and stabilisation works prior to starting the build with construction methods aligned to the client’s sustainability aims.
"The responsible sourcing of materials and minimising waste were both priorities throughout.”
In addition to achieving BREEAM Excellent, the build also saw Russell WBHO achieve an ‘Excellent’ Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS) score driven by robust environmental practices, site safety and workforce management.
Located just four miles from Manchester City Centre, and half a mile from Junction 9 of the M60, Trafford 150 is a speculative development situated next to the Bowlers Exhibition Centre.
The facility is 400m from the new Parkway Metrolink stop, providing green travel options for employees.
