Adrian Laycock has been announced as the new client delivery manager for UK Power Networks Services Manchester office.
Adrian will use his understanding of clients’ needs and in-depth knowledge of how to meet and develop those needs in the north for UK Power Networks Services. He will be working across rail, aviation, water, defence, ports, nuclear, commercial vehicles, commercial and industrial.
Adrian began his career in the electrical industry as an apprentice electrician and learned how to work with HV cables.
He has worked alongside UK Power Networks Services in the past, including becoming the engineering manager at Gatwick Airport where he was responsible for the airport’s HV network. He also delivered over £100m of projects which significantly reduced the airports energy use and its carbon footprint.
Adrian worked for a number of large companies, including Heineken, helping them reduce their carbon footprints. He then made a move back to airports when he led the airfield team for the Manchester Airport Transformation Programme, delivering projects worth £168m.
He said: “I am delighted to be joining the Manchester team of UK Power Networks Services. It is a fantastic opportunity to lead such a capable team, delivering a broad portfolio of electrical work for numerous regional clients.”
