Norbert Dentressangle to acquire nine new warehouses in France

Norbert Dentressangle has announced that it has signed an offer to purchase the logistics assets of MGF, a subsidiary of the G7 Group, consisting of nine warehouses in France.

With a combined total storage area of 174,000m2, the warehouses are located mainly between the Paris area in northern France and the urban areas of Lyon, Toulouse and Marseille. Employing 272 people, the warehouses specialise in logistics services for the retail, FMCG, textile and industrial sectors and generate annual revenues of around €26 million.

The purchase of these assets will become effective by 15 July at the latest.

Hervé Montjotin, Chairman of Norbert Dentressangle’s Executive Board, said: "This transaction is in keeping with the planned expansion of our logistics operations in France, as it enables us to boost our ties with major long-standing customers, and paves the way for new commercial successes.

"Norbert Dentressangle has chosen to invest in France, to consolidate its market-leading position in this, its traditional market, and to enable further growth in the industrial, retail, FMCG and textile sectors. As this transaction is in keeping with planned expansion, Norbert Dentressangle is in a position to guarantee the future of the jobs at all the purchased facilities."
