Norgren to package its offering at Birmingham exhibition

Norgren, a world leader in pneumatic motion and fluid control technologies, will be exhibiting at Packaging Innovations, to be held at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham from 26-27 February 2014.

The Norgren stand (D56) will primarily feature IVAC (integrated valve and actuator control) and the first UK show appearance of the Stepper Cylinder, with working demonstrations of both products available throughout the event.

IVAC is a range of high-performance pneumatic cylinders that offer energy-saving potential, functional innovation and improved aesthetics. It has been specially designed in collaboration with customers and offers users all the advantages of conventional pneumatic control in a single actuator package. The IVAC is designed to provide OEMs and end-users with a high-performance, innovative and high-specification engineered product to help cut energy costs, installation costs and air consumption, while reducing downtime for cleaning and maintenance.

The launch of Norgren’s Stepper Cylinder will provide the packaging industry with flexibility to produce a number of products in different sizes with one, tool-less cylinder. This enables the user to save time, increase production and reduce maintenance costs thanks to fewer parts being used.

Norgren’s Des Cunningham will be managing the stand, and explains: "We are excited to bring the Stepper Cylinder to Packaging Innovations; we believe it provides excellent benefits to those companies operating in the packaging industry. Its patented control system can be fully automated and enables incremental piston strokes allowing users to predefine many different adjustments with just one unit."

"We will be offering working demonstrations of the Stepper Cylinder, showcasing just how innovative it can be for users in the industry. Additionally, we are once again showcasing IVAC at Packaging Innovations, which provides Engineering Advantage by combining the valve, flow controls, cushioning and sensors in a single actuator package.

"Both products have an emphasis on simplification. The IVAC and Stepper Cylinder both combine a number of benefits in one, easy to use unit."
