Northern warehousing provider Carlton Forest Group encourages open communication surrounding Brexit

With the appointment of a new Prime Minster there is one topic that has made a resurgence to the forefront of everyone’s mind; Brexit. And, with the Road Haulage Association (RHA) providing much collateral to ensure the smooth transition of business operations across the UK, Worksop based Carlton Forest Group is calling on partners across the supply chain to make their business Brexit ready and to share best practice.

“We recognise that there is an air of uncertainty surrounding Brexit yet the efficiency of our business operations is well placed to ensure the smooth transition of goods will continue through the supply chain,” Graham White Group Commercial Manager Carlton Forest. “We are working diligently with key partners and industry bodies to ensure we can continue to support our customers to the highest of standards and urge others to do the same.”

Topics such as border control, operator’s licences and other legislative requirements will need to be agreed prior to Brexit, and the industry in conjunction with the RHA is working hard to achieve this.

“We understand that there may be a need for supply chain solutions to become a little more fluid surrounding the time and nature of Brexit and we are well placed to develop bespoke solutions to support customers however possible,” said Graham. “By working together I believe that the warehousing and supply chain sector can ensure businesses and consumers are relatively unaffected by Brexit and the smooth passage of goods across all sectors will continue.”

From strategically placed locations close to the M1 and A1, the team is well placed to offer exceptional services across the UK and beyond. And, with BRC AA status accreditation and 99.5% OTIF performance our customers can have complete confidence in a service solution that is second to none and that makes tangible differences to business operations across a variety of sectors ranging from food to household goods.

It currently offers 400,000 sq ft of warehousing storage and distribution as well as many other added value services such as fulfilment, ecommerce operations, contract packing, pick and pack and other supply chain requirements.
