RedPrairie Corporation, a global supply chain and retail technology provider, has announced that office equipment supplier OfficeMax® Incorporated is using RedPrairie Enterprise Workforce Management to boost its return on labour investment and manage costs across its supply chain and retail stores.
RedPrairie's Enterprise Workforce Management solution enables retailers to manage their workforce holistically addressing time and attendance, forecasting, scheduling, labour standards, execution management and learning management. The flexible architecture of the solution suite enables it to be implemented as an integrated solution or as standalone applications.
OfficeMax is currently using RedPrairie's Enterprise Workforce Management application suite in three Customer Fulfillment Centres (CFCs). The CFCs in Chicago, Washington, DC and San Francisco rolled out Enterprise Workforce Management from RedPrairie earlier this year, and the Orlando CFC is currently in the process of implementing it.
"OfficeMax wants to continue to enhance its ability to forecast, schedule and manage labour to ensure that the right people are available at the right time across the enterprise to meet customer expectations," said Larry Hartley, senior vice president, supply chain at OfficeMax. "RedPrairie's Enterprise Workforce Management solution will help OfficeMax to better align the strategic management of our labour resources throughout the supply chain."
OfficeMax's customers are served by more than 30,000 associates through direct sales, catalogues, the Internet and nearly 1,000 retail locations throughout the U.S. It distributes a broad line of items for the office, including office supplies and paper, in-store print and document services through OfficeMax ImPress®, technology products and solutions and office furniture.
"We look forward to working with OfficeMax to help them to holistically plan their labour resources across the enterprise for new product introductions, promotions, changes in supply chain strategies and service initiatives," said RedPrairie Senior Vice President, Retail Noel Goggin. "RedPrairie Enterprise Workforce Management will provide OfficeMax with a single, integrated suite of applications that will drive workforce productivity, revenue generation and effectiveness across the enterprise."
