Oliver Schubert manages production

Horstmar, March 2008 – Oliver Schubert (41) has joined the board of directors for the Ressort Production of Schmitz Cargobull AG. Schubert, an engineering graduate, has responsibility for the specialist Schmitz Cargobull factories in Altenberge and Vreden as well as for production and quality management issues at the group's international assembly works. He takes over from Oliver Jung.

After completing Production Engineering studies in Ulm (Germany), Oliver Schubert worked as a project manager of an engineering company before moving to Porsche AG as manager of Porsche's logistics and factory planning.

He left Porsche in 2001 to join MAN where he worked as manager of the logistics and quality departments and had responsibility for the central area for planning and controlling before being promoted to the management board of MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG in Salzgitter, Germany. In 2005, the MAN factory in Salzgitter received the prize as overall winner of the “Manufacturing Excellence Award” under the supervision of Oliver Schubert.

Before joining Schmitz Cargobull AG Oliver Schubert was the chairman of the management board of MAN Star Trucks & Buses in Poland and a member of the board of managers of Neoman Bus GmbH.

Oliver Schubert is married and has two daughters.

Other management board members of Schmitz Cargobull AG include, Bernd Hoffmann (Chairman, Sales for Central and Eastern Europe), Ulrich Schümer (Finances /Personnel), Ulrich Schöpker (Sales for Germany, North and South West Europe as well as Services), Josef Buddenkotte (Purchasing and Logistics), Dr. Michael Begemann (Research and Development) and Oliver Schubert (Production).

During the last Supervisory Board meeting, the contracts of the Board members Mr. Schöpker (Sales Germany, North and South West Europe as well as Services) and Mr. Schümer (Finance / Personnel) were confirmed for a further five years.
