Pallet delivery network, Palletways Group, wins £2m contract with Better Bathrooms.com

The Palletways Group, Europe's largest and fastest growing pallet delivery network, has won a 12-month rolling contract worth £2m with the UK's largest independent bathroom retailer, Better Bathrooms.com

From its hubs in Fradley, Greenford and Livingston, Palletways will provide pallet distribution of the company's extensive product lines, which include bathroom furniture, accessories and suites.

It is anticipated that the contract will see over 70,000 pallets being distributed a year and create two new jobs within the customer service team.

Commenting on the contract, Rob Gittins, UK Sales Director, Palletways Owned Operations, said: "We're thrilled to have been awarded this contract with Better Bathrooms.com and really look forward to strengthening our relationship with them.

"Over the years, we have built a very sophisticated pallet delivery network and an extensive service offering, which includes overnight express distribution services and timed deliveries. We are also able to provide a bespoke logistics service, enabling our customers to make savings, while meeting the demands placed upon the supply chain."

Colin Stevens, Managing Director, BetterBathrooms.com, said: "As an internet retailer, we needed a logistics provider capable of reacting to significant peaks and troughs in our business and Palletways not only offered but demonstrated the ideal solution for us.

"Palletways has provided us with logistics solutions tailored to our business needs and the variable cost model offered to us presents an opportunity to drive down costs, whilst still enabling us to provide a high level of service to our customers."

The Palletways distribution network is made up of some 100 plus member companies, which are all independent transport firms with local knowledge and expertise to provide a range of express distribution services including next day, economy and timed delivery options.

By sharing resources all the members deliver small consignments of palletised goods to market faster and more cost effectively than traditional haulage methods.
