Palletforce is celebrating another major milestone at its central distribution hub in Burton-upon-Trent.

The UK and Europe's leading freight distribution network has handled its 25 millionth pallet - an achievement that coincides with the company’s 15th anniversary.

In 2001, Palletforce launched from an aircraft hangar in Lichfield, processing 560 pallets on its first night.

The state-of-the-art hub, built in 2008, is now used by almost 100 Palletforce members from across the UK. A second 240,000 sq ft unit is due to open in 2017, raising daily capacity to 30,000 pallets.

Palletforce chief executive officer Michael Conroy said: “This is an amazing achievement and testament to the hard work and dedication of all our staff and members.

“Palletforce was founded on the principles of quality and service and over the last 15 years we have continued to build our reputation through investment in technology and infrastructure.

“With our new ‘SuperHub’ due to come online next year we are looking forward to more record-breaking achievements in the future.”
