The Palletforce-sponsored rally driver John MacCrone will contest the world's top rally series for young drivers - the FIA WRC Academy.
John, along with his Rally Team Scotland co-driver Stuart Loudon, will line up with a raft of other young hot shots in identical Ford Fiesta R2s chasing a prize drive next season.
"It's fantastic to have secured such an exciting programme and I have to thank all the important team sponsors and partners who have made this possible," said John.
"Now the focus for Stuart and myself is to raise our game and compete with the fastest young drivers in the world. The prize is an incredible opportunity and we want to be fighting for it."
On his last WRC event, John put in the drive of his life to take an incredible class win and finish top two-wheel-drive car on Wales Rally GB - the final round of the 2011 FIA World Rally Championship.
Battling with the world's best young rally drivers, the duo, who are members of the Motor Sports Association's Team GB squad, powered the Fiesta R2 to 23rd overall and first in class six by a commanding margin.
At pre-season training in early March at M-Sport in Cumbria drivers were able to get behind the wheel at its testing ground where they received valuable tuition from an experienced driver.
The WRC Academy also provides competitors with expert tuition across a number of disciplines including first aid and technical briefings.
Twenty-two-year-old John, from the Isle of Mull, has also established The Clan to encourage supporters to contribute vital funds to his campaign. By investing, supporters will get regular updates, prizes and a small presence on the roof of his Fiesta.
Dave Holland, Sales and Marketing Director at Palletforce, said: "John is consistently pushing the parameters of what he can do and hitting new heights which is why we are proud to continue supporting such young talent."
