Palletforce supports serving soldiers

PALLETFORCE has shown its support for British troops in Afghanistan this Christmas by collecting donated items to help spread some festive cheer.

The UK’s leading palletised distribution network collected donations from staff at its 400,000 sq ft Hub in support of the charity Operation Shoebox.

Staff were asked to donate items including toiletries, food, games and clothes, which have been packed into shoeboxes and sent to Afghanistan in time for Christmas.

"Everyone at the Hub has been really enthusiastic about supporting Operation Shoebox and we collected donations for several weeks," said Dave Holland, Sales and Marketing Director at Palletforce.

"Christmas is a time for being at home with family, but for our brave service men and women on the frontline this is not always possible.

"We wanted to support those who will be away from home this Christmas and show them we are thinking of them."

The army’s four-legged troops have not been forgotten either as dog treats and toys were also collected for the serving military dogs.
