Palletforce to help keep Britain moving this winter

Farralls Transport, founder member of Palletforce, has signed a deal potentially worth £10million to be the sole UK pallet network provider for Dandy’s Rock Salt.

The two-year deal between the Chester-based firm, a founder member of Palletforce – the UK’s leading palletised distribution network, and Dandy’s has been reached with a view to extending the contract by five years in 2013.

Over the total seven years the deal is worth an estimated £10million.

"Farralls Transport is absolutely second to none," said Adam Dandy, Managing Director at Dandy’s.

"They are permanently focused on continuously improving their service to us, with weekly meetings taking place with our Logistics Supervisor and General Manager.

"Palletforce listen to our concerns and act quickly to meet our needs; Mike and Elaine Farrall and their whole team have given us the confidence to commit to them as our sole provider for the foreseeable future.

"As a user of pallet networks for over five years we have tried many other suppliers and can wholeheartedly say that the service our customers receive from Palletforce as a network is without doubt the best in the industry."

Dandy’s is the only UK based rock salt supplier able to have continuously supplied the general public as well as businesses up and down the country with much needed grit during the worst three winters in over two decades.

To continue to offer that high level of service it was pivotal for Dandy’s to ensure that they have a sole provider that would excel all year round no matter the weather or volume of pallets being sent out.

Dandy’s chose Farralls Transport following the enormous amount of hard work and outstanding levels of customer service given by the team at Farralls and other Palletforce members when delivering Dandy’s freight over the past eight months.

"We are absolutely thrilled to have secured this deal with such a leader in the field as Dandy’s," said Mike Farrall, Managing Director of Farralls Transport.

"We will continue to do our utmost to deliver the high level of service that Dandy’s has received over the past eight months we have worked together."

The Dandy’s contract also includes the distribution for all of the company’s spring and summer goods from their garden related websites.

"This is a significant new business win for Farralls Transport and we are delighted to count Dandy’s as among Palletforce’s satisfied customers," said Michael Conroy, Chief Executive of Palletforce.

"Like Palletforce Dandy’s is renowned for its consistent high quality service and dedication to getting the job done properly, so we are confident this new partnership will complement both parties.

"We will continue to work in partnership with our members and support them to win new contracts."
