Palletised freight network Palletways, signs 40 years worth of deals with members

Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing express palletised freight network, is celebrating the signing of new 10-year deals with four of its members.

Caledonian Logistics, Frederick R. Miller, Andover Transport and Rase Distribution have all extended their membership with Palletways, which will see the firms collectively continue to handle small consignments of palletised freight through the Palletways pallet network.

The contract signings represent a significant success for Palletways, as they look to grow market share in the UK and mainland Europe.

Commenting on the new deals, Martyn Young, Managing Director of Palletways, said: "We are delighted that so many of our members have signed up to our network for another 10 years particularly given the competitiveness of our industry.

"We are committed to providing a top class service for our member companies and supporting them in their business development. The fact that these four highly reputable companies have been with our network for a large number of years and have extended for another 10, is testimony to this overriding commitment. It is also reassuring for our customers, who will benefit from dealing with their same local Palletways provider."

Palletways, which was founded in the UK in 1994 to provide an express delivery solution for small consignments of palletised freight, is today the leading dedicated pallet network in Europe and handles 21,000 pallets per day across all its operations.

Caledonian Logistics, Frederick R. Miller, Andover Transport and Rase Distribution are all part of the 100 plus member network. The network is made up of independent transport companies with the local knowledge and expertise to provide a range of express delivery services, including next day, economy and timed delivery options.

The member companies share each other’s resources to distribute small consignments across the UK, Ireland, the Benelux countries, Denmark, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Italy more cost effectively than traditional haulage methods.
