Paneltex gains approval to deliver Driver CPC Training courses

A recent development at the Hull-based refrigerated bodybuilder Paneltex is that the Company has now become an approved Driver CPC Centre, having applied for and gained approval to deliver periodic training for the Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) for the next five years.

Paneltex is currently preparing a range of Driver CPC courses that it is now able to deliver under Regulation 6(3)(a) of the Vehicle Drivers (Certificate of Professional Competence) Regulations 2007 and aims to have the first modules ready to deliver to local HGV drivers by early October 2013.

Available to drivers of both Paneltex customers and non-customers, all the Driver CPC training courses will take place at the Paneltex head office training centre in Hull.

Commenting on this new development, Paneltex Managing Director Chris Berridge said, "Under the guidance and direction of Harry Harrison here at Paneltex, we have recently applied for and gained approval to be an approved and authorised training centre for the new Driver CPC qualification for the next five years. We are looking at offering a number of modules towards the Driver CPC and this will give local HGV drivers in the Hull and East Yorkshire region an additional facility for this qualification."
