Thetford-based couriers Team C have announced plans to create jobs after joining the Fortec Pallet Distribution Network.
Between three and five people could be recruited as part of the company's bid to expand the Fortec side of the operation in the coming months.
Team C Founder and Managing Director Tim Clements took the decision to join the Network as part of the next phase of the company's growth.
Team C was formed in 1997 and over the years it has expanded its overnight parcel and same day delivery operations.
Increased demand led to Team C looking for larger premises and four years ago they moved to a new site with a 10,000 sq ft warehouse and 20,000 sq ft vehicle space.
Today the company employs a workforce of 26 and operates a large fleet of Sprinter vans with a smaller HGV fleet. Now Team C has joined the Fortec Network they will add to the HGVs and the company has already taken delivery of their first double deck 40ft trailer.
Tim first took the decision to join the Network as part of the company's plans to develop a pallet operation within the company.
He said: "We are part of the APC parcel network but had never been part of a pallet network before so it seemed like the next natural step as part of Team C's development. We can now offer our customers a one stop shop for all of their distribution requirements in the UK and worldwide.
"Fortec has a good working relationship with APC, and as a shareholder and one of the largest inputting depots into the network we do too. From our initial contact with Fortec, through to seeing their night sortation process, we were very impressed with their whole operation. We had been told they were the best kept secret in the industry with exceptional service levels, and from our experience so far we have not been disappointed."
Since joining the Network Team C has served customers in the IP24 and above postcodes and the PE30 and above postcode areas.
Neil Hodgson, Managing Director of Fortec, said: "We are delighted to welcome Team C to the Fortec Network. They have an excellent reputation in the Thetford area and we are sure they will prove a valuable asset to the Fortec Network."
