Penny Hydraulics at IMHX 2013 to demonstrate how its BayLift and MezzLift goods lifts make it simpler and safer to handle items

Penny Hydraulics demonstrates how its BayLift and MezzLift goods lifts make it simpler and safer to handle items in loading bays, warehouses, factories and shops at IMHX. Both products offer a simple, effective and economical way to manage loads and eliminate the need for manual handling and lifting so that operators can comply with current regulations and meet their duty of care obligations.

The Penny Hydraulics BayLift is ideal for lifting and handling loads between two levels where the difference in height is less than 1.5 metres, such as loading bays and docks. It offers a practical load handling solution where alternative equipment such as conventional scissor or platform lifts cannot easily be installed because of the relatively small height difference or when permanent installation or excavation of a lift pit is impractical. Versions are available with maximum working loads from 250 to 1500kg with a range of platform sizes to ensure the BayLift can safely handle crates, pallets, roll cages, sack barrows and many other loads.

The Penny Hydraulics MezzLift is available in a range of configurations to handle loads of all shapes and sizes up to 500kg safely and efficiently between multiple floors. Its compact and self-contained design make it suitable for a wide variety of applications in warehouses, stores, shops and factories. It is supplied with its own pump unit and there is no need for a separate motor room because the power pack is uniquely self-contained within the shaft. This helps minimises the lift's footprint without restricting the available storage space and working area. The structure is self-supporting so there is no need for building work during installation while the 50mm closed height means there is no need to excavate a floor pit. Robust construction ensures the lift can be installed indoors or out and can be repositioned if required. The company offers delivery within four weeks of an order being placed.

The BayLift and MezzLift allow the entire handling process to be undertaken by one person without manual lifting. This helps operators to be more productive, lessen damage to goods and property, reduce the risk of injury to employees and comply with manual handling regulations. Safety features include a unique hold-to-run system that stops the lift whenever the control is released.

Each BayLift or MezzLift is designed to meet the customer's precise requirement and is manufactured by Penny Hydraulics in the UK at its factory in Derbyshire.
