Potter Logistics Palletline success

On Saturday, 16th March 2013, Potter Logistics' managing director, Matthew Lamb together with Jim Thomson (operations director) and Nick Brightey (general manager, transport division and York distribution centre) attended the annual Palletline Awards. The company had been shortlisted for two categories only 10 months after joining the network through the acquisition of House of James Transport Ltd.

Lamb comments on the evening, "Being nominated for two categories at the Palletline awards was highly unexpected. Having only been members of the network for a short time we are extremely proud to have made the shortlist for Depot of the Year.

"There are over 75 member companies of Palletline and for us to have made the final four is a great achievement in itself. We feel that this demonstrates the excellent work undertaken at our York distribution centre and our commitment to the Palletline network.

"In addition, Rob Warrington of our York distribution centre was one of five winners of the Palletline People Award. This award is given to people working in the network who have significantly contributed to the success of Palletline and consistently gone the extra mile. This was a great accomplishment for Rob, who unfortunately couldn't be with us on the night so Kevin Buchanan, the managing director of Palletline, will travel to York to personally present the award to Rob.

"As we said in his nomination, Rob has driven the values of the network to everyone within Potter Logistics whilst delivering exceptional customer service to all levels of customers and fellow members alike."

Lamb concludes, "From a personal point of view, I am delighted for all Potter Logistics' employees who have worked so hard to achieve outstanding customer service levels. The success in these prestigious awards is down to them and their dedication to building our business."
