Printwaste Recycling & Shredding celebrates a decade of service to International Media Business Future

Printwaste Recycling & Shredding has celebrated ten years of supplying its long-standing client, international media group Future, with a complete office waste recyclables collection and confidential data destruction solution.

Over the past decade, the Cheltenham-based recycling, security shredding and waste management specialist has recycled more than 1,000 tonnes of paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, CDs, DVDs and even redundant office furniture from Future’s multiple sites in Bath.

Other items taken away for recycling have included end-of-life IT equipment, a 72-inch television and old plastic photographic processing tanks.

Regular weekly scheduled collections by Printwaste’s security-vetted staff ensure that all confidential information stored in lockable bins is securely shredded. This is done using either the firm’s on-site mobile shredding vehicle or high-capacity, purpose-designed secure shredders at Printwaste’s high-security destruction facility.

Printwaste Director Geof Robins presented Karon Trainor, Future’s Services Manager with a glass trophy marking a decade of successful service provision.

For Karon, it has been Printwaste’s flexible approach and ability to supply the right solution that has made their services stand out, helping Future’s commitment to recycle wherever possible.
She said: "Working with Printwaste is very easy. When I call them, I know they will do their best to help me in any way they can. With more than 100 bins for paper alone, plus others for bottles and cans, emptying every bin in busy offices on a regular basis is no mean feat and this is done efficiently by friendly staff.

"Having small bins near the desks is ideal as employees don’t have the time to go outside to big bins and we don’t have the space either. The beauty of Printwaste is that they empty every bin, keeping the offices tidier."

Karon explained that flexibility is paramount given the unpredictable levels of office waste, particularly paper and cardboard, generated by hundreds of employees working across a range of consumer brands.

"Our journalists are frequently testing new products that come in cardboard boxes, so we find Printwaste’s ability to provide collection services tailored to our needs is vital. We definitely need that flexibility and their service really works well for us," she added.

Geof Robins commented: "We pride ourselves on providing bespoke flexible services tailored to customer requirements and our service to Future Publishing is a great example. We currently recycle 99.6% of all materials collected."

Printwaste Recycling & Shredding provides a broad range of highly-accredited specialist confidential data destruction, waste management and recycling services for businesses locally, regionally and nationally to recognised security and quality standards.
