Lifestyle Marketing International, which sells the popular Beurer brand of health and well-being products in the UK, has announced it has signed a five year contract with third party logistics experts PDS International.
PDS, which employs 60 people, will be responsible for all aspects of product handling from its base in north west England, where it has warehouse capacity of around half a million square feet.
The family run and independently owned business, which was founded in 1995, offers a full logistics and distribution service, as well as a full range of value added services including returns, reworks, customer service, fulfilment and marketing support.
Lifestyle's director Richard Webb said: "I have used PDS's services for the past 18 months and have been extremely happy with the level of service they've provided. By outsourcing the supply chain function I can concentrate on the sales and marketing aspects of the business. I know I can trust them to take care of everything else from the initial order processing right through to final delivery. They offer an outstanding service and add value where they can - I really feel they go the extra mile for my business."
He added that the successful business model established between the two companies would allow Lifestyle to develop its business further and it is currently seeking new contracts for complementary products to the Beurer range of high quality beauty, medical and therapy items.
Commenting on behalf of PDS International, commercial director David McClelland said: "We work closely with our customers and believe that building a strong partnership is the best route to success. We're delighted with the vote of confidence in us shown by Lifestyle and will work hard to ensure we continue to offer excellent service at all times to them and all our customers."
PDS has developed expertise in handling a wide range of products including personal care, electrical, kitchen appliances, haircare, DIY, flooring and healthcare and its weekly "ship to" list includes all the major high street retailers - Argos, Boots, Makro, Costco, Dixons, Woolworths, Superdrug, Boots, Amazon, Matalan, John Lewis, TK Maxx, Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys and Morrisons, amongst others.
The company also delivers to smaller local independent retailers and electrical outlets such as Comet, Curry's, Dixons and B&Q as well as offering a mail order fulfilment service.
