Ray Phelan appointed Redirack Group Sales Director

Ray Phelan appointed Redirack Group Sales Director, in an announcement made recently by Chairman Phil Culling.

With a highly successful career in sales leadership and business management in the materials handling and storage industry, Ray’s appointment to this pivotal role signals the Group’s ambition to accelerate its development and grow its market share.

Phil said: "Ray’s appointment represents a great achievement for Redirack. He has a wealth of knowledge of our industry and an extremely impressive track record both in the OEM and reseller markets."

Ray was for 15 years the Managing Director of Redirack’s distributor in Scotland: Axis. Following a successful MBO 7 years ago, Ray has been working in several different areas including sales team and management development, general management and for 3 years was Head of Regional Business (UK) for a world leading Office Furniture Company. Prior to running his own company Ray spent over twelve years working for two of the UK’s other racking and storage companies.

Commenting on his appointment, Ray said: "I’m really looking forward to the challenge of leading Redirack’s sales effort and helping the Group to achieve its ambitious growth and market share targets."

Ray took up his new role on Monday 5th December 2011.
