UK-based business RCR Ltd has been signed as the UK business partner for RAK Logistics, which is looking to rapidly expand its UK freight forwarding business.
RCR, a logistics consultancy, was formed in 2009 by chief executive Mark Roderick and his father chairman Edward Roderick. Both Edward and Mark have extensive knowledge of the logistics industry. Mark has previously fulfilled senior roles at Sainsbury’s, Morrison’s, Alliance Boots and Tesco. Edward, who is now based out of Dubai, the former CEO of Christian Salvesen and VP of both the Freight Transport Association and the Road Haulage Association.
RAK Logistics is a division of RAK Ceramics, a USD1 billion global conglomerate. RAK Logistics has a global presence in more than 150 countries and ships volume in excess of 50,000 containers per year.
