Re-useable pallets and dollies create efficiencies in both transportation and accessibility says Returnable Transit Packaging company LINPAC Allibert

Utilising re-useable pallets and dollies can create efficiencies in both the transportation and accessibility of products for industrial manufacturers, according to LINPAC Allibert. The leading Returnable Transit Packaging (RTP) producer offers a compact Universal Pallet and Universal Dolly which are already used by many leading manufacturers throughout the supply chain.

Simon Knights, commercial director at LINPAC Allibert, explains: "With a small footprint of just 800 by 600mm, the Universal Pallet and Dolly are ideal for any application where speed is essential and space is at a premium. As such, they are frequently used in manufacturing to transport products, parts and components straight from suppliers to the warehouse or factory floor without double handling.

"This allows manufacturers to pick straight from the dollies or pallets without having to decant parts first. The dollies also allow parts to be easily and quickly moved to different locations if necessary, for example from warehouses to factories. Using the Universal Pallets and Dollies enables manufacturers to transport parts from supplier to factory very quickly, safely and efficiently – saving time, cost and space."

Manufactured from polypropylene, the robust Universal Dolly safely handles loads of up to 500kg, while the Universal Pallet can stack two high carrying 500kg – a combined load of one tonne on the bottom pallet. Both the Universal Pallet and Dolly are compatible with LINPAC Allibert Euro stacking, Kaiman Attached Lid Containers (ALCs), Maxinest produce trays and 180° stack nest ranges.

Unlike timber pallets, there are no splinters or metal shards that could damage contents or cause injury. Plastic pallets are also more durable and hygienic as they don’t absorb moisture or contaminants.

The Universal Dolly has four swivel braked castors, clover leaf recesses to stack safely when empty, a clip on handle, a unique flip-out extension for carrying nested ALCs and clearance for fork-lifting on or off delivery vehicles. The Universal Pallet has three runners with wide width fork entry, load retaining pop ups and smooth hygienic surfaces.

LINPAC Allibert is a pioneer in the development and application of returnable transit packaging and offers a range of pallets and dollies that meets stringent hygiene, environmental and load-bearing criteria.
