New marketing consultancy Red Strike Marketing is pleased to announce that it has won a number of new high-profile contracts since launching earlier this year. Red Strike Marketing is now working with major sporting organisations such as the Marussia Virgin Racing Formula One team, the Global Ocean Race and Leeds United FC. The UK-based company has also taken on a consultancy role to the Saudi Arabia Sports Agency, which is a new advisory board set up by the office of Prince Faisal.
Experienced sports marketer, Mike Farnan, is a driving force behind the agency's preliminary success. Mike was a central figure in Manchester United International, a division of the club that was responsible for the growth of the brand in Asia, the Middle East and Oceania regions. He has also held senior commercial roles with Jordan Grand Prix and Sheffield United FC.
Red Strike Marketing's new client portfolio includes a five-year contract as the exclusive sponsorship agency for the Global Ocean Race. The company is also working with the Marussia Virgin Racing Formula One team to secure a range of commercial partners for the start of the 2012 season and with Leeds United to develop a number of special projects.
The consultancy's credentials also extend to the Middle East, where Red Strike Marketing is acting in an advisory role to the Saudi Arabia Sports Agency. Red Strike Marketing will be assisting on a number of ventures that will help build the stadia facilities for sports such as football and horse racing within the Kingdom. This will include the development of a state-of-the-art football academy that has been based on a European football blueprint, due to be built in either Riyadh or Jeddah.
In addition to new wins, Red Strike Marketing continues to work with founding client Capita Symonds. The property and infrastructure company is aiming to build on its own sporting credentials that include the construction of the new roof for Wimbledon's centre court and the completion of Wembley stadium. The evolving relationship with the Capita Group, sees both parties working on a series of national and international marketing initiatives.
Macron, the Italian technical sportswear manufacturer and designer, is also an existing Red Strike Marketing client. The consultancy has helped set up a number of football kit licensing deals for Macron, with clubs including West Ham United, Leeds United, Charlton Athletic, Millwall and Sheffield United.
Mike Farnan, CEO of Red Strike Marketing, said: "The Red Strike Marketing team has considerable experience working for right holders, agencies and high profile brands. This contrasting expertise and understanding helps us maximise the sporting relationships. We are able to offer a unique, multi-layered approach to help brands and organisations that invest in sport, deliver the best return of investment."
Additional members of the Red Strike Marketing team include Andrew Johns, who has a track record in international marketing having held positions with Sheffield United, Chengdu Blades and Ferencvaros football club. The agency added Danny Crerand, the former Sales Director of Manchester United, and Nigel Tomlinson to the team. Nigel has built an international collection of contacts in the corporate field, developed in his former position as the CEO of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce.
