Relocation celebrated

Import Services, is set to celebrate its first year anniversary of moving its office and administration function – formerly located at Eastleigh – to Hedge End where its main warehouse facility relocated to in 2002.

The leading logistics Company is now ‘all under one roof’ with 7.500 sq ft of offices topping the company’s 100,000 sq ft warehouse:

“We originally chose Hedge End to relocate our warehousing facility as it enjoyed a prime location, adjacent to the M27 and close to the Port of Southampton,” explained John Eynon, Managing Director of Import Services Ltd. “It also meant that we were able to increase our warehousing facility by 50%, which has proven invaluable to our current customer base and for attracting new business.”

Import Services is a long-established, efficient and highly experienced contract logistics provider with a wide range of clients in a variety of industries. The Company is ideally placed to offer a full range of warehousing, importing, exporting and distribution services, all backed up with the additional benefit of a sophisticated, client-specific, high-tech IT tracking system.

The Company also operates out of additional warehousing space at nearby Nursling, where it can offer a further 109,000 sq ft. Both warehouses have high convenient geographical locations, close to Southampton and Portsmouth, enabling the Company to take full advantage of the motorway network as well as international shipping ports:

“Our move to Hedge End has represented a highly convenient base of operation for us. We not only offer 10,000 pallet spaces within the Hedge End warehouse, and have a similar size facility in Nursling – something that no other local contract logistics company can offer – but we also have highly sophisticated security and safety precautions in place for the added peace of mind of our customers.”
