Reydon Sports improves service offering through new ERP Software

Solarsoft's ERP software enables Reydon Sports to provide its customers with 'just-in-time' service through increased visibility of the entire supply chain –

Reydon Sports, the UK's largest sports wholesale and distribution company, has gone live with Solarsoft Business System's next-generation ERP software. The new system, based on Solarsoft's xVP technology, provides Reydon Sports with a platform from which to launch a new 'just-in-time' delivery capability. The ERP system will integrate with all ordering processes, including online, to increase visibility in the supply chain and to enable Reydon Sports to have full control, from procurement to delivery.

Reydon Sports' previous ERP system was proprietary and not based on a common operating system and was as such thoroughly unscalable. This legacy system prevented Reydon Sports from adapting its processes in line with its growth, and limited the extra functionality available to the business. Accordingly, Solarsoft's ERP system was implemented to maximise Reydon Sports' potential and to provide a direct link between the warehouse operations and the customer ordering system, thereby improving customer service.

Reydon Sports is the UK's largest sports wholesale and distribution company and provides large-scale retailers, including John Lewis, with the latest range of sporting clothing and accessories from some of the biggest names in sport, including Nike, Puma, Slazenger, Precision Training, Mitre, Dunlop, Speedo.

Nigel Carter, Managing Director of Reydon Sports, comments, “Our previous system did not allow us to grow the business in the way we wanted or to service our clients in the ways they wanted. Solarsoft's ERP software is ideally suited to our processes and is flexible enough to accommodate, and even enable, any changes and expansions. Through the new system, we can now monitor and improve our entire supply chain and ensure we are providing the optimum service to our clients.”

Carter continues, “Solarsoft's position in the distribution market was a key deciding factor for us. Solarsoft's experience is manifested in their deployment of a solution so closely suited to our business.”

Solarsoft's new ERP software, powered by the vendor's xVP technology, is the result of significant investment into research and development by Solarsoft, made possible by the software vendor's recent expansion following a series of acquisitions. Solarsoft's xVP software includes an intuitive WindowsTM interface and a 'google-like' search engine which significantly improves speed of operation and ease of use. The system is also available on multiple operating platforms.
