The financial success, incongruous with the economic climate, suggests that more companies are taking the subject of recycling and sustainability more seriously than ever before.
"It's been hard work but the figures are really stacking up," commented Huw Crampton, General Manager, "we've seen a huge increase in the amount and types of organisations that want to recycle their food waste on-site, and cut out the rising waste disposal charges from their budgets."
While other companies are feeling the pinch, ACL are forging ahead trying to keep up with the huge increase in enquiries for the Rocket In-Vessel Composter.
Huw continues: "Food waste recycling doesn't have to be hard and more people are discovering this, that's why 2008 has been such a good year for us."
Food waste disposed of in landfill generates methane, a greenhouse gas 20 times more damaging to the environment that CO2. The Rocket converts food waste into compost in around 14 days, saving waste disposal costs, methane emissions from landfill and the need to buy in compost for landscaping.
