Saxlund announces major strategic partnership to develop EPC turnkey solutions

Leading provider of biomass combustion and bulk materials handling solutions partners with Axis Industries to provide latest technology for pan-European contracts; Merger of competences strategy for mutual business development links EPC capability with pioneering products and services.


Saxlund International - an engineering innovator and pioneer of Biomass Combustion and Materials Handling solutions - has joined forces with Axis Industries to apply Saxlund's latest alternative energy technology solutions to EPC biomass combustion contracts across the UK. The move represents a new European mega engineering capability with around 1,000 employees and a combined turnover of around €100 million.


Axis - Lithuania's largest engineering company with 20 years experience in alternative energy in the specialist field of biomass energy - will work closely with Saxlund - the UK's leader Biomass Combustion and Materials Handling solutions for 60 years - to provide customers with its EPC contract management processes and pioneering automatic and electro-engineering equipment for biomass projects.


The partnership is the latest strategic move by Saxlund International, based in Southampton, which is part of the Opcon Group with 150 staff employed in its businesses located in Sweden, Germany and UK.
