Seahorse Network awards for journalism in freight maritime and logistics industries

The Seahorse Network is calling for entries for its annual awards for journalists specialising in the maritime, freight and logistics industries.


The organisation, which is a networking group for public relations, marketing, advertising and promotional professionals who focus on promoting aspects of the freight, maritime passenger, air freight, air passenger, shipping and logistics sectors, has run the awards for over 20 years.


The Award Categories for 2010 are:

Seahorse Journalist of the Year

News Journalist of the Year

Features Journalist of the Year

Supply Chain Journalist of the Year

Environmental Journalist of the Year

The awards will be presented at the annual Seahorse Christmas Party, which will be held on: Tuesday, 14 December 2010 from 6.30 pm onwards at the Thomas Miller Conference Suite, 90 Fenchurch Street, London EC3M 4ST

Supply Chain Journalist of the Year

Winner: Martin Dixon, Containerisation International

Runner up: Lucy Tesseras, Logistics Manager


Online Journalist of the Year

Winner: David Hughes, Anderimar Shipping News

Runner up: Hal Brown, Fairplay


In addition to the main awards categories, two additional awards were handed out for "Personality of the Year" and "Lifetime Achievement".
