The original inventor of AirCap® bubble wrap, Sealed Air Europe, is teaming up with soundLINCS to help celebrate the charity's 15th year anniversary, which will see them attempt to break the Guinness World Record for 'most people popping bubble wrap'.
The event will take place on Saturday 3rd May at Lincoln's Epic Centre, with more than 1,000 people already signed up to take part in the bubble wrap bonanza.
Sealed Air Europe offered to support the event after hearing about soundLINCS' incredible contribution across the East Midlands region, where it provides and develops high quality and innovative music-making opportunities and training for all ages and communities.
The packaging solutions provider will now partner with soundLINCS by providing unlimited AirCap® bubble wrap for the event, PR support and a charitable donation.
Nikki-Kate Heyes MBE, CEO at soundLINCS, said: "The world record is currently held in America and our attempt will hopefully see 1,500 people join us in a rhythmic popping extravaganza.
"Using more than 1,500 metres of donated bubble wrap we will be assembling in the Epic Centre to record the most people simultaneously popping bubble wrap. We are delighted that Sealed Air Europe has made the attempt possible with its generous donation."
Stuart Roberts, European Director of Marketing at Sealed Air Europe, said: "It is set to be a fantastic event and we are pleased to partner with such a well respected local charity.
"As the inventors of AirCap® it made perfect sense to be part of this special occasion, and create historical pop music."
