Severnside Recycling, one of the UK's leading recycling and waste management companies, has appointed environmental and technology PR consultancy Prova to undertake its external communications. Prova's experience in the waste and recycling arenas will be utilised to raise the profile of Severnside across its key markets.
Severnside provides sustainable waste services throughout the UK - operating a philosophy of landfill avoidance - and is part of the D S Smith family. The Cardiff-based organisation is the largest recycler of fibre in the UK, recovering almost two million tonnes of recyclable material per annum. Severnside operates across a variety of sectors including print, manufacturing, warehousing and distribution, and retail where Severnside holds some of the most significant contracts in the industry including Marks & Spencer, Mothercare, Peacocks and Tesco.
Over the course of 2009, Prova has continued to grow in its key sectors of environment, energy and technology. A national award winner for its work, Prova has built its position as one of the leading independent PR agencies in the UK through organic growth.
Tim Price, Severnside's national commercial manager for sales and marketing, commented: "We're delighted to be working alongside Prova. Severnside wanted to work with a market-leader in the environmental sector, and we've very much got that with the Prova team."
