Sira Test & Certification to support HAZEX at MAINTEC 2013

Sira Test & Certification Ltd (a CSA Group company) will be supporting HAZEX, the specialist hazardous area event being run as part of easyFairs MAINTEC 2013. HAZEX made an impressive debut earlier this year at the 2012 show, and when it returns to MAINTEC on 5-7 March at Birmingham’s NEC it will once again bring the UK’s top hazard prevention experts under one roof to address the growing health and safety responsibilities of engineering professionals.

Sira has been at the forefront of hazardous area issues and training for over 25 years, so its support for HAZEX is a great endorsement for the event. Sira is a world leader in the conformity assessment solutions field and the UK’s leading Notified Body for Ex Product Certification (ATEX & IECEx); indeed it has issued more IECEx certificates than any other certification body.

Commenting on the decision to support HAZEX, Adam Garner, Commercial Manager at Sira, said: "We look forward to once again being involved in this important and growing sector of the show. It’s exciting to see an event investing resources to develop a live arena for suppliers, in this market, to get their products and services in front of serious buyers."

Sira’s support for HAZEX comes hot on the heels of an earlier announcement by MAINTEC organisers that when the show returns to the NEC in Birmingham next March it will include a major conference featuring internationally renowned speakers, plus the Maintenance Professional Awards.

Matt Benyon, Managing Director at easyFairs UK & Ireland, commented: "We’re absolutely committed to building MAINTEC into the show all those involved in maintenance, engineering and asset and plant management need. So we’re thrilled to be developing HAZEX, taking it to the next level and to once again having Sira on board."

In addition to promoting its services within HAZEX, Sira will run one of the many special, free-to-attend learnShops that will be running throughout the show.
