Stertil Koni will be highlighting a new high speed mobile jack at this year’s CV Show. The 600kg capacity VLT6 jack provides excellent versatility and total safety during lifting and handling operations under raised vehicles.
The new VLT6 has been designed and developed to offer a unique combination of features including compactness, versatility and ease of use. The jack’s three-stage telescopic cylinder ensures a minimal closed height of only 720mm which, in turn, allows simple positioning and manoeuvrability. Also, five support legs, incorporating robust wheels and brakes, ensure unrivalled stability for complete user confidence.
During a typical lifting operation, a service engineer uses the jack’s foot-operated pump to raise and lower heavy and awkward components beneath raised vehicles. For those applications where an increased speed of operation is required, the jack may be operated and controlled simply by using a compressed air line. The VLT6 also features a range of specially-designed interchangeable support heads that can be selected depending on the shape and size of the component or assembly being handled.
Offering reliable lifting at heights up to 1915mm, the new jack enables totally safe, accurate and hands-free positioning of loads weighing up to 600kg. During extensive tests in commercial garages and workshops, many traditional two-man repair and servicing operations were completed efficiently by a single engineer using the VLT6.
Commenting on the launch of the VLT6 mobile jack, Stertil Koni’s general manager, Tony Edge, says, "Alongside efficiency and ease of use, health and safety has always been a prime consideration in the design and development of our products. I’m confident that the new VLT6 will quickly establish itself by making a significant contribution to safe working practices in a wide range of applications within garages and workshops throughout the UK.
