Following the shipment of 11 access platforms (3 x P 220 B, 2 x WT 300, 6 x P180) to Bahrain-based Y.K. ALMOAYYED & SONS, training for service personnel and operators was on the agenda.
A week-long training course was held in Manama in August 2012. Users and mechanics received training in consultation with Jacob George (Assistant Manager) and Jayadev Menon (Service Manager). A meeting with government ministry representatives was held to explain the training schedule and discuss safety issues. In the final step, workshop personnel received training (explanation of H-Plan and E-Plan, troubleshooting demonstration on the display, practical instruction with simulated faults). A total of 30 people were trained in the operation of the machinery.
