Structure-flex seals relationship with Industrias Murtra SA

Melton Constable, Norfolk: after months of intensive discussion and negotiation, a Distribution and Services agreement was signed on Tuesday 20th February 2007 between Structure-flex Limited of Melton Constable in Norfolk and Industrias Murtra SA.

Murtra is a well respected, family owned company established in 1897 in Barcelona, with an extensive portfolio of textile webbings, polypropylene multifilament yarns, window decoration products and lifting, lashing and work safety products. With manufacturing facilities in Spain, Mexico, Italy and North Africa, it is one of the larger players in the global marketplace.

Structure-flex is well known for building long-term partnerships with both customers and suppliers; Murta has supplied Structure-flex's packaging, industrial and road transport divisions with a range of products for over 10 years. This most recent agreement between the two companies is a consolidation of Structure-flex's long-running association with Murtra, which in turn is keen to consolidate sales in its current marketplace and to develop new technical markets and applications for its products. Both companies are interested in establishing a professional collaboration to maximise the market opportunity and complement their brand values in order to increase their share of the UK market.

Matt Doughty, Sales and Marketing Manager of Structure-flex welcomes this development, saying:

“This is an important step forward for both Structure-flex and Murta. Murtra products are a good fit with the Structure-flex portfolio, and will offer increasing benefits to our customers in terms of a new range of high quality products, including slings, load restraints, harnesses and safety products. Highly competitive pricing and a local service with a growing network of local sales staff will also be attractive to customers. In addition, the agreement ensures a more flexible supply chain service and response time with continuous product development. Our Lifting division is able to increase its range of products, maintain quality and provide the industry with goods at a competitive price; increased business from Structure-flex means that Murta is gaining a stronger foothold in the UK market.”

A catalogue of the products on offer from Industrias Murtra and Structure-flex as a result of the Distribution and Services agreement will be available shortly. To obtain a copy, contact Lisa Pengelly on T: 01263 863100.
