furniture that the company collects. A recycling scheme has also been introduced for office white paper.
Steve added: The Gigant Roll Packer has made a huge difference! It compacts the furniture waste so efficiently that we have reduced our collections from three or four per week down to one. We will save #4,000 per quarter on our waste disposal costs as well as significantly cutting the CO2 emissions associated with vehicle movements.
The twin chamber baler has helped us to store our cardboard and polythene waste efficiently, until it is collected for recycling, as well as creating an additional revenue stream for the business.
Another important factor for Alan Ward when choosing a recycling and waste management company was finding an organisation that would literally take away all the day to day problems associated with that handling and disposal of waste.
Steve said: Our business is furniture retail and we need to able to concentrate on that. It is becoming increasingly difficult to deal with environmental legislation and ensure that the business is compliant so finding a company that could take all those worries away was vital.
