Visitors to the SOMERSTOTALKARE stand at the Commercial Vehicle Show in April are being offered the opportunity to make their mark on a spectacular attempt to smash the world land speed record.
The UK's leading supplier for heavy-duty vehicle lifting solutions, is sponsoring the Bloodhound SSC record attempt by supplying a set of its state-of-the-art cable-free lifts. As part of the deal it can nominate names to be printed on the jet powered car's tail fin.
Tristan Johnston, Marketing Executive at SOMERSTOTALKARE, explained: "Anyone who makes an enquiry on our stand and goes on to buy a set of new lifts in 2013 will have their names put forward to the Bloodhound SSC team.
"We thought this would be a great way to generate interest in a project that's at the very cutting edge of engineering and technology whilst giving visitors to the CV show another good reason to visit our stand."
Tristan went on to say that the stand will also highlight the flexibility of vehicle lifts similar to the ones being used during construction and testing of the super sonic car.
"We'll be demonstrating the capabilities of our S6cf cable-free lift system that can handle weights of up to 7.5 tonnes per column.
"The individual columns that make up the system can be used in various configurations and are very manoeuvrable. As a result they can be moved around a workshop to offer maximum flexibility whilst the lack of cables has obvious safety benefits," he added.
