Supply chain solutions provider SBS Worldwide has launched an enhanced export email alert system to drive increased visibility for its customers.
The new email alert system provides customers with ocean and air shipment status updates, right from initial order placement through to destination delivery.
It is part of SBS Worldwide's drive to ensure that customers are always up to date with the latest status of their shipment, allowing them to more effectively manage their supply chain operation.
SBS Worldwide Group Chairman Steve Walker said: "These enhanced alerts represent the commitment we have to our customers and our continued investment in giving them a better supply chain service.

All exporters can expect the following for each product:
OCEAN and AIR EXPORT:
Preliminary Booking - This notice is sent as soon as preliminary details are received and entered into our booking system. It includes basic shipment information such as number of pieces, weight, ETD and ETA.
Confirmed Booking - This notice is sent at time of departure confirming shipment details.
Customs Cleared at Destination - This notice is sent as soon as we have confirmation of Customs clearance at destination.
Point Of Delivery at Destination - This notice will be sent upon confirmation of delivery at destination.
The new email alert system is part of a wider company drive to provide a more personal level of service to customers.
This includes the development of US regional sales and operational teams with expertise in key industry verticals for different areas of the US.
