Swift Industrial Supplies looks forward to growth

Swift Industrial Supplies is now able to offer its customers even greater efficiency and service following the fitting out of the company¡¦s new premises in Alton, Hampshire by leading integrated space solutions company, Spaceway South. A continuation of a long standing relationship between the two companies that goes back to 2000, Spaceway South won the business on a competitive tender against individual contractors by being able to provide a ¡§one stop contract¡¨ for the fitting out of both the offices and warehouse.

Increasing demand for its corporate clothing, safety equipment and janitorial and hygiene products by an expanding customer base had resulted in Swift Industrial Supplies outgrowing its existing facility. Following consultation with local planning authorities, Swift Industrial Supplies decided to build an extension to the company¡¦s existing building in Millstone Park, Alton to provide it with an additional 800 square metres of office and warehouse accommodation.

Looking for a company that had the expertise and experience to project manage the fitting of the new facility, Swift Industrial Supplies¡¦ Director, Adrian James, selected Spaceway South.

¡§Spaceway South was able to provide us with a single source facility rather than deal with individual contractors¡¨, says Adrian James. ¡§In addition the company¡¦s designs were extremely professional and we also knew that they were extremely professional as they had fitted a mezzanine floor into our last premises¡¨.

Spaceway South began the fit out by installing a FlooriTall㤠mezzanine floor into the new building. Once this had been completed, office partitioning, suspended ceilings, dry lining, external windows and doors were installed into the office complex and a floor installed over a racking and shelving system in the warehouse. To complete the project, electrics, lighting, rest rooms and toilets were installed throughout the building and mesh partitioning, fire protection and security shutters were fitted into the warehouse. Finally, air conditioning, ventilation, a storage wall and furniture were fitted into the office complex.

Swift Industrial Supplies¡¦ new premises are impressive and functional enabling the company to provide its customers with improved service and greater efficiency. The new warehouse has enabled the company to hold more stock and offer an even wide range of products to an ever increasingly demanding client base.
