TAG transport shifts business into higher gear

Croydon-based logistics company, TAG Transport, has shifted into a higher gear after expanding its business to new premises at Airport Industrial Estate to accommodate its growing number of national and international customers.

The investment in new 36,000 sq ft premises follows shortly after the family-run firm joined Palletways, Europe’s largest and fastest growing delivery network for palletised freight; a move that will see the company strengthen its offering to customers in the CR and SM postcode areas.

As a member of the Palletways network, TAG Transport Services will collect from local customers for onwards delivery nationwide, as well as Ireland, the Benelux countries, Denmark, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Italy.

Geoff Phipps, Managing Director of TAG Transport Services, said: "Our investment in larger premises comes at an exciting time as we are really looking to increase business growth.

"Our new membership with Palletways will open up new business opportunities for our company and will enable us to continue to offer our customers cost-effective, overnight and express palletised freight services to anywhere in the UK and to mainland Europe."

TAG Transport, which has been operating successfully for the past decade is now one of more than 100 members in the Palletways UK network, which provides a range of express distribution services for small consignments of palletised freight, including next day, economy and timed delivery options across the UK, as well as a daily cross-Channel distribution service to mainland Europe.
