Taking training to greater heights.

In November 2008 Mentor took over the Materials Handling Training Centre on the Corus site in Redcar, Teesside. Now after refurbishment the centre is open for other customers to take advantage of the excellent facilities. The training centre has a training area of over 20,000 sq feet and four classrooms allowing for a range of courses to be scheduled to take place at any one time.

IPAF Training

Now IPAF accredited, one of the unique advantages of Teesside is its 40ft clear internal height allowing access platform training to take place inside whatever the weather. This eliminates the possibility of costly cancellations and postponements due to adverse weather.

Courses currently on offer at Teesside include:

• Fork lift trucks (all types)

• Overhead cranes (cab, pendant and remote)

• Access platforms

• Manual handling

• Safety awareness

• Slinging and signaling

New Training Centre.

Continuing Mentor's expansion, their new Scottish training centre opened in early December and offers a full range of fork lift truck operator and instructor training courses.

Located in Livingston on the M8 corridor between Glasgow and Edinburgh the new centre is the hub for their instructors who deliver operator training courses throughout Scotland.

Scotland is an important area for Mentor. The growth of their customer base in the country in recent times has encouraged the investment in the centre, a decision which is already producing a significant increase in the training courses being provided to new and existing customers.
